Cornflour
Ingredients: Cornflour
- Heat 500m1 chicken stock and 1 teaspoon minced ginger in a large saucepan on high. Bring to the boil.
- Add 1 cup shredded barbecue chicken, 200g can cream corn, 150g can drain corn kernels, 11/2 sliced green onions, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- In a jug, lightly whisk 1 egg. Slowly pour into soup, stirring to form egg flowers. Serve soup topped with extra sliced green onion.
Corn flour is used for:
- Thicken soups, stews & curries.
- Iris used to batter when frying which acts as a coating for fish, meat and vegetables.
- It's also used as a dusting powder for marshmallows & sweets.
- It's also used to make decorative flowers for cakes.
